It didn’t take long for someone to find the hidden surprise in the JavaScript for Jeb Bush’s presidential campaign website. Yesterday, Jeremy Bowers, who works on interactive news for the New York Times, noticed that the source code for the site included a plot summary of the Die Hard movie franchise.
Seems like an odd thing to include in the JS of your presidential announcement page. https://t.co/bA8DeSzeyk pic.twitter.com/vwfUbBLt0M

The summary began: “Also starring Severus Snape [a.k.a. the actor Alan Rickman], the first film begins on Christmas Eve when McClane comes to reunite with separated with wife Holly.” It ended, five movies later with: “The father and son walk away, reconciled.”
As Slate notes, the summary has since disappeared as mysteriously as it appeared.
